Disabilities

In the law, a disabled person is defined as a person who, due to an injury or illness, has long-term special difficulties with performing normal life activities. A disability can be developmental, or the result of an illness or accident, or it can also be congenital.

On the website of Hilma, the support centre for disabled immigrants, you can find information and support in languages such as Finnish, Somali and Arabic. Hilma’s YouTube channel also has a variety of multilingual videos on various topics.
